Mozzarella Stick Recipe + BOOK LOVER’S VINTAGE STYLE PENDANT Giveaway!!

The BIG GAME will be here before you know it, this recipe is something I like to make and they are a big hit.  Mozzarella Sticks, but with a twist, they are wrapped in won ton wrappers.  I was always having trouble with breaded mozzarella sticks so this was something I tried when I had leftover wonton wrappers from my cream cheese won-ton recipe.  Hope you’re having a great 2016!!  For all you book lovers or if you know someone who is, enter the Rafflecopter below to win a BOOK LOVER’S VINTAGE STYLE PENDANT.

Mozzarella Sticks

Need:

24-wonton wrappers, about 24

12- mozzarella sticks, unwrapped, cut in half

oil, for frying

Optional: pasta sauce for dipping

Directions:

Heat oil in a frying pan to 350 degrees.

Once you half all the cheese sticks cut in half, place one piece on the corner of a wonton wrapper.

To fold: Fold the bottom right corner over the cheese so that it covers it completely, with the tip of the corner now pointing to the center of the wonton wrapper. Fold in the bottom left corner, followed by the right, so that you now have formed an envelope. Roll the wrap upward one time, leaving the top left corner open. Wet your index finger in the small bowl of water and press to moisten the top left corner. Now fold that down on top of the filled roll, sealing it like you would an envelope.

Carefully place the wontons in heated oil, flipping them until they are golden brown on all sides.  One oil is to temp this will be fairly quick process.  Do a few at a time, until complete

Serve with optional sauce.

Enjoy!!!

I’ve made these since I was a teenager. I also make pizza fingers with egg roll wraps, sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni.
